Various types of wrapping machines

Wrapping machine is a machine that uses a thin plastic film, paper, or aluminum film to cover a product or products. The wrapping can be over the whole body of the product or it can also be partial, covering only half of the body of the product or carton. Wrapping machine can be banding machine, which can wrap only band of material around any product. Sliver banding machine can use two reels of films to enclose or wrap a group of products. Stretch banding machine uses a band firmly around a product by using polyethylene film. Fold wrapping machines uses foil around a product for wrapping without any heat.

Dedicated banding machines can use a reel of film or paper, which is sealed with heat .The product, is held stationery or pushed on the conveyor .The film or paper is moved over the product and then the film is tightened and sealed with heat or with ultrasound weld. This type of process is bit slowly. This type of wrapping method is suitable for wrapping random products because here the film is moved around the product before sealing and tightened.

In sleeve wrapping machine one or two reels are used to wrap a product. The film is first enrobing a product then heat is applied to seal it firmly, This type of machine uses two films to make a web on the product. The product to be sealed is put from the transfer system or put by using conveyor. This type of wrapping is suitable for products that range from 600mm to 1500 mm in width.

Stretch banding machine wraps a band of film around a product firmly. In this system of wrapping, Stretch Wrap Machine the seal is already in tight mode around the product before sealing takes place. In this machine, the need for shrink tunnel is does not rise as the product is held tightly in sealing. Stretch banding machine is used widely for pharmaceutical industry where the product collector is linked with machine.

The spiral wrapping machine wraps a product around the product or products in series of turns. In this machine, the products are moving through the machine and device giving PVC spirals around the products.  After sealing with product, a tube of the film is formed around the product and then a blade cuts the tube. This type of packing is very suitable for products that cannot be moved through the heat shrink channel.  Products such as ladder are wrapped using this type of machine.

Then there are other wrapping machines which do the job of wrapping without heating. They use paper or Carton Wrapping Machine aluminum to wrap the products.  The fold wrapping machine is one such machine. This machine is used when the heat used can damage the product. But without heat the wrapping is tight. Overwrapping machine is used to form a complete pack. The material used for wrapping can be cellophane, paper and polypropylene.
